Your painting opportunities include nearby public areas and access to several private properties, the owners of which have kindly agreed to open to festival participants.

 

Public Locations

Public lands include White Oak Canyon, Old Rag Mountain, Hoover Ridge Park, White Oak Lake, Hablutzel Lake, and more. Accessible rivers are the Rapidan, Rose and Robinson. Parts of the Rose and Robinson are very close to Possum’s store and will be marked on the map in your package. If you’re interested in churches, you might look at Hebron Lutheran Church, Oak Grove United Methodist Church, as well as Criglersville Shiloh Cemetery.

 

Private Locations

You will have access to several special private properties in the area for painting. These include a dairy farm, a resort, Ducard Vineyard and hundreds of acres of rolling hills. The final list will be provided in your registration package.
